12 Mar ’16 : Zootopia with Devi

An outing with  Devi today! We arranged to meet at 3pm in Somerset to shop for intern clothing since I did not buy enough clothing to last me a week yet (especially tops).

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My mom had to go Waterway Point with my relatives so we had to part from home. This is her face when she thinks she cannot go shopping with her daughter on a Saturday.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My ugly overgrown dinosaur nails

So I waited for Devi at 313@Somerset. When she arrived, I asked to go to Emerald Hill which is just across the street. I heard about it online. It’s a place where Peranakan-styled shophouses were. It is a popular insta spot because of the artsy architecture you hardly will see in modern Singapore.

When I reached there, I was actually surprised to see the number of both tourists and locals all taking photos of the area. I knew it was popular but to see photographers everywhere I was shocked. Like really no one is there not taking photos.

After, we went to Forever21 back at 313 Somerset. Followed by H&M.

Then, we thought we should just go to Dhoby Ghaut since Devi wanted to buy a dress from Dorothy Perkins at Plaza Singagpura.

She got her dress and then Vivian asked where were we. We told her we were at Plaza Singapura but I guess she was tired of that place so she told us she won’t be coming to meet us…

With nothing to do left, we decided to watch a movie. But before that, we went to Eighteen Chefs at The Cathay for dinner.

I got myself waffles which I thought was worth it for it’s presentation. $6~ Devi and I also shared fries!

We were hesitating between How To Be Single and Zootopia. I actually wanted How To Be Single but Devi said Zootopia was strongly recomended by her friends. So we went ahead with Zootopia. Because it’s always better to hear from those who already watched.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Very excited! Walking to the movie theatre with a bunch of kids…

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Really did not regret choosing Zootopia. It’s very funny and it made me like cartoons more. It’s so light-hearted and the feeling of leaving the theatre after watching it is very shiok. You keep thinking of the movie over and over again. I like Judy and the sloth ironically named Flash LOL Never laughed that hard before. Nearly could not breathe over the sloth scene. HAHA there was this jumpscare scene when Nick and Judy breached the prison where the violent victims were held captive. I yelled and no one else did. Don’t know how embarassed I was back there HAHA.

I think after today, I find myself liking extreme movies. Either very comedic or very dark/scary. No in betweens. Maybe because I get to express extreme feelings which I don’t usually do everyday. Thrill is so hard to come by. And laughter too. Such movies makes my heart pump faster since either it’s too funny or too scary. The feeling is very good.

We went home right after the movie as it was already 9pm… Goodbye…

I’d like to watch another cartoon again. I saw the trailer for Pets before Zootopia screened in the theatre and I thought it seemed pretty funny and quirky. Next time perhaps!

11 Mar ’16 : Bingsoo with Mom

So I’m on to my 5th day of intern. It has been an okay first week. I went to work feeling all so nervous when actually it wasn’t that bad. Work is quite manageable being mostly data-entry stuff so far. I have to say my colleagues are very friendly and helpful, knowing I needed to be trained and taking out their valuable working time to do it when they have their own tasks to do. But then I kinda feel very restricted in an office job. I can’t use my phone freely, I have to maintain a good impression at all times, and working with people I barely knew for a week is quite uncomfortable. But I need to ask myself. What is intern if everything is rainbows and unicorns? The purpose of internship is for me to experience real working life and here it is. It is normal for someone to step out of her comfort zone in an internship so I should not worry that much because to adults, working everyday is part of their daily life and it will for me, one day! It takes time for me to adjust to this lifestyle.

One comforting thought is that I get 5 x $700 for internship!

5th morning… It’s already a week! Today, my mom is going to meet me at my workplace after work to have dinner together before going home.

Lunch time! While everyone is out, I quickly take a selfie.

After work, I met my mom at my intern building and then we walked to our planned destination at Peace Centre which is just beside. This Korean restaurant that specializes in takeaway food in a cute paper box. I saw their bingsoo menu every time I walk from office to bus stop so I really wanted to try it seeing that it seemed affordable and they also sell individual portions in case you are alone.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Cornsilk tea! Tastes quite okay but I still prefer my all time favourite, Brown Rice Green Tea.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The food we ordered!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Soondubu jjigae which we told the person to not add any kimchi or chilli to which he said okay but ended up putting it. Maybe spicy food really isn’t for me? I tried to eat it but I just can’t tolerate the spice. Thankfully, my mom likes spicy so she finds it okay.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Kimchi Fried Rice which is a little spicy but still tolerable.

The stew also came with this rice that is said to be healthy and full of anti-oxidants! It tastes almost the same as Japanese rice but with the health benefits.

Finally, our bingsoo came! It cooled my stung tongue and relieved the spiciness in my mouth. Patbingsoo~ Never tried red bean on bingsoo before. I really liked the rice cakes and red beans. The red beans were thick and large they really seem to be of good quality. Looks yummy as well so I definitely will come again for bingsoo but bingsoo only HAHA. And not to mention, for it’s presentation and quality, it’s of the same price as other similar bingsoos sold in other stores.

Felt so full and a little uncomfortable after eating the spicy food… We walked to Plaza Singapura to aid the digestion.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Passed by The Cathay building!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

When you want to take the night lights, so you set to a lower ISO, reduced shutter speed but a little movement exaggerates the blur when you lower the settings.  This is why I like taking in daylight. Good lighting and it’s easier to take photos when you don’t have to reduce shutter speed.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Are we there yet? HAHA.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Found this pretty to take.

We shopped at John Little for a while and then headed home because my feet felt so tired and painful in the new covered shoes. But it feels so good to be home at the end of the week!!!

6 Mar ’16 : Tim Ho Wan with family

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Back for a second visit! This time with my dad! This time we will order more thought to our heart’s content since there’s more people to finish the food today.

The Char Siew Pau is a must order of course.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My dad who never stops playing his phone.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Mom playing Tsum Tsum again. What’s wrong with adults sia? They also obssessed with their phones.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Malay cake which is very special from other malay cakes bought elsewhere. Maybe because it’s fresh?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This sauce is great but ribs are mostly bones and hardly any flesh. So I think it’s not worth to buy this again.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Congee again. What is my mom without congee HAHA!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This time we bought this steamed chicken mushroom rice. I liked it a lot. You get this at food courts at $4-5 and this only $6~. It is very worth it considering outside selling also around the same price. I liked this because steamed chicken was very smooth and the rice had soy sauce (at the end of the day seasoning wins) on it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Tried siew mai for our 2nd round of ordering. Siew Mai is nice but I think it’s very expensive? I know outside selling cheaply because they don’t usually put a few whole prawns in each. But Sheng Kee sells this exact tasting siew mai at a cheaper price. Okay fine maybe it’s about the same price but my heart aches everytime I buy such expensive siew mai that I can eat in a few bites.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Fried Hor Fun but it’s spicy…

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ee Mian! But is not that delicious for the price they selling for in my opinion.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is Prawn and Pork wrapped in beancurd skin. It’s nice but I prefer Siew Mai over this.

Tim Ho Wan is nice when you know exactly what to buy. But since it’s only our 2nd trip we are yet to try everything. But now, I know more or less what to buy if I ever come back for another meal at Tim Ho Wan.

I will definitely get the Char Siew Pau which is very cheap (if you compare it to bakery items). Malay cake and Siew Mai as well! Steamed chicken rice if I am feeling hungrier.

Hope next time I will come spending lesser yet able to eat the dishes I really like!

And I am  feeling very nervous as my intern starts the next day. Thank god Flora kinda made me less nervous with her skype call.

My eye started to hurt so bad at night I could not sleep. I kept tearing and opening my eyes was such a painful task. Kinda felt bad for my dad who had to go to the supermart few blocks away to get me eye wash at 12am. It did feel better after the wash but it still hurt. My eyes was clear of dirt already. Then I went to check the inner part of my right eye and saw a white lump. I was guessing it’s a sty and it’s already infected. So I went to sleep hoping the pain will be gone next day which it did! Or else I had to go report for intern with a swollen red eye.

5 Mar ’16 : Visiting Shaun

Finally got to see my new nephew Shaun! He was born on the 23rd of February but we never got to visit him until today! He looks like his dad while Lucas looked more of his mom. I don’t know but I find Shaun’s nose quite wide like the father’s side which is us HAHA!

My cousin invited us over to his house to take a look at his newborn son. He took this photo of his son using the beauty/dream filter on my camera. He is so tiny OMG. I did not have the courage to carry him because a bit fragile at his young age.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Baby Lucas! This is taken using my cousin’s f/1.8 lens. Now I finally know how much f/1.8 and f/3.5 lenses differ by so much. I thought my f/3.5 lens can defocus background maybe not as well as a f/1.8 lens can but at least not much of a differrence. Then my cousin-in-law told me there is an IT fair selling the camera now with 2 lenses along with it and another voucher for lenses. Sad… Now I really want a f/1.8 lens but I guess since it’s already like that might as well just learn the basics first before I go buy a new lens.

Anyways, HAHA Lucas is so cute. Before Shaun is born, I kept thinking of him as a baby even at over 1 year of age. Now his little brother is born I suddenly find him grown up. Like he’s so big now. Like he’s finally a big brother.

Popo!

We went down to look for Adrien’s family when they arrived. Adrien and Shanell both have cough so they weren’t supposed to go anywhere near the newborn Shaun. So their dad stayed with the 2 of them at the playground area while their mom and Renice went out to see Shaun. My mom was worried their dad could not take care of the 2 lively ones alone so we went down to help them out.

HAHA Lucas saw that people are going out of the house so he clamored to leave with us too. His parents did not mind so he followed us down. Go gai gai~

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

He wants my mom to carry him. No my mom is mine and mine only. LOL kidding. Not?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Is it me or Lucas is getting chubbier as he grows?

We made our way to the event room where they were at. Shanell and Adrien were pleased to see us!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Adrien’s a cutie as usual.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Shanell ran into the bushes after my aunt walked into it. The plants were tall so she kinda look so short next to them.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

So enough playtime, we are going back up. See ya later HAHA.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Clubhouse feels?

We went up to see Renice and her mom at the house. OMG she’s so cute with Lucas. We put them into the playpen together and totally ship them together. You never know in future they might be bffs being the same age. Can totally imagine them bickering over the tiniest stuff like Vanessa, Flora and me when we were younger.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Taking photos of Renice is the hardest because she keeps moving.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Play mate of the day~

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I am gonna throw it! You catch!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Why aren’t you catching it?!

The visitors all decided to have dinner together while my cousin’s family will have their dinner cooked by the confinement nanny. Lucas wanted to follow us though so he did!

So 4 kids with us… sigh… But Lucas is really very quiet and well behaved.  Did not fuss and is not picky about who carries him. He doesn’t clamor for his parents either. Quite independent and not spoiled.

After dinner at Rivervale Mall, we went Daiso. Was chasing Adrien around the store the whole time…

Meanwhile, Shanell is quietly sitting in the trolley.

We then went back for home. Adrien’s family fetched my mom and I back again. Thank you~

1 Mar ’16 : Visiting intern place

Met Renice, my cousin Vanessa and my aunt at the market. I got myself a lot of skirts for intern today at Bendemeer market. My aunt knew them since she visits that market every single day so I got discounts thanks to her.

I guess this is how important kinship is? It’s not because of the discount I got but I really saw her taking time out to follow me to different shops, and asking for a discount is really not an easy thing to do because of ego issue. No matter you detest the person’s usual attitude but no matter what is still your family and they still will help you when you need it. I kinda feel bad but an attitude is still an attitude though I should not treat them so coldly. She may not be well liked by others in the family but really though, we are still kins and I can really see they still contact and help each other out very often despite past conflicts.

After that, we went up to visit the other 2 cuties whose daddy brought them home from school. He did not see my camera before so he was curious. In fact he advised me on which camera to buy depending on my needs and it was me using his camera that really made me want to buy one. So he gave me a lesson on how to operate the camera which really helped. He also told me to put on the strap so it won’t drop and break. HAHA He said his children can be my models today so no formalities ah. No need pay modelling fees to you ah HAHA.

I really think she looked like Amabel, my cousin as a baby but they all insist she looks like me more.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

One more?

We then set off for my intern place at Wilkie Edge building! We walked to Boon Keng MRT taking to Little India MRT. I actually found buses I can take from the MRT to Peace Centre which is just beside Wilkie Edge but my mom is like “walking isn’t that much la”. Ya sure it is much. I sweat so much walking under the sun. And when in a rush I don’t think I can walk wiithout feeling the urge to just run when I can actually take a bus if I don’t have to wait long for it.

After a long walk, we reached the building. I saw cafes such as Hans and Starbucks! But cannot afford to have it so frequently. We tried going to the 3rd floor but it wouldn’t let us go up unless we scan a lift card which employees are all given.

So we ended up just eating at Hong Kong Kitchen which sold very cheap food. I think I can see myself lunching there every noon. We got watercress soup and century egg porridge.

We then walked our way to Dhoby Ghaut MRT and took note of all the bus stops along the way. We saw many food outlets nearby which really tempted me especially the bingsoo store selling either personal sized or couple sized bingsoo.

I think we got too tempted we ended up having Tim Ho Wan since I never tried before.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
This is the best dish among what we ate. This really lived up to its reputation.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Glutinous rice wrapped in pandan leaves.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
This is a disappointment though. Maybe my expectations are too high but I find this quite normal.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Siew mai is best when whole prawns are in it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
My favourite kind of congee. Must add soy sauce haha!

After that, we shopped around for some intern necessities. I got myself a brown sling bag for intern which I thought was a little casual but I went for the gamble. It is quite expensive but I thought it really is of good quality and it looks nice too. It can be used for long rather than the black bag I used for school.

We went back to my cousin’s house since we promised we will come back after visiting my intern place. The kids already bathed by the time we went there so haha they were warned not to run around.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Got the Romeo Tan feels? I am an aunt to such a handsome boy!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
But handsome boys always have to make such ugly faces don’t know for what?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
My cousin came back from work!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Look who got kit kat from his mom!

I tested him on his spelling but he ended up asking me for anyone’s number so I gave him my mom’s and mine. End up he went to memorise it and spam call us. No wonder his mom warned me not to. But smart sia at his age he can easily memorise a few string of numbers in just few minutes. So it became a number memo test rather than spelling test.

These kids are just too cute. Thanks to their dad we got a car ride home since we all lived in Sengkang! Thanks ah!

29 Feb 2016 : Secret Recipe @ Vivo City

Mom took leave today to spend some time with me! We thought of where to go and decided on anywhere with Secret Recipe since she got a $30 Secret Recipe voucher. We actually wanted Plaza Singapura but sadly, that outlet is closed for renovations. So we decided on the 2nd best convenient choice, Vivo City!

I actually wanted to meet my friends at Adventure Cove but I came down with a flu so my mom did not allow me to play with water and catch a cold. Moreover, my mom took leave specially for me that day as well as Tuesday it would be bad of me to leave her alone to join my friends.

HAHA we thought Secret Recipe was at Harbourfront Shopping centre because of the address stating a “Harbourfront” in it. We walked so much just to realise Secret Recipe is in Vivo City… which is also called Harbourfront in the address.

While walking towards Harbourfront centre, I tried to take some photos of the water fountain using my new camera! Was not very sure how to increase shutter speed using the different modes yet so this was what I took using AUTO mode.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We then made our way back to Vivo City for Secret Recipe after a wild goose chase. We didn’t know where it was so finding the unit number was tough, especially when the shopping mall is so huge.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We finally reached Secret Recipe! The voucher could only be used on Ala Carte items so it was expensive but it beats not using the $30 voucher. We made our orders and waited for the food. Mom ordered, as usual, an Asian dish, satay chicken rice while me, prawn penne with cheese.

The rice is super delicious! Like yam rice… And the satay is breaded.

Prawn penne with cheese!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The cheese that is infused with the taste of prawns! Never tried before! But too cheesy and I happened to eat something super cheesy the day before so I felt very thirsty after.

We then went back in to a fashion shop beside for intern clothings. Bought nothing though. I am looking for intern skirts. Because all the skirts I have is either too tight or not appropriate for work. Need something that is not bold in colour and long enough.

We shopped at other fashion shops as well and after a long walk my mom and I went out again. While I waited for my mom, I took photos of the scenery.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

5 of the 7 princesses must be somewhere there. Adventure Cove~

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Flowers. I realise I see this flower very often. But it’s not a sunflower, is it?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sentosa walk. Last time I went was for my Sec 2 Chinese journal essay assignment where I needed photos with my cousin and mom. But we didn’t really go into the island. Just stopped at the entrance of USS and headed back. I do miss Sentosa. So many things I want to do there such as the Luge ride and the 4D magix. And a new item on my bucket list, Adventure Cove (since I realised don’t need to have a proper swimming costume for it) as well as roller coaster, haunted house in USS. Maybe this year’s Halloween… I’ll come for Horror nights!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We continued to shop around for clothes! Got some skirts from Forever21. Happy I finally owned skirts that suit my body type. I don’t like flare skirts. I like pencil skirts!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

So after a while, just before our dinner, we went out again. But this time, we saw a beautiful sunset!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sun down.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Queen’s Port.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

But there is somewhere that is livelier by the night.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My duck ramen! I love the fats in the duck skin. So much flavour!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

When there’s hor fun, it’s a sure order from mom!

We went to Giant to shop for stuff. Wasn’t looking for anything exactly but just that we felt the need to explore a 2 level supermarket? Was at the noodles section and I tried looking for the scallop noodles that my family liked. We found it but it was premium and very expensive. Gave up that up. It’s not easy to find scallop noodles in usual supermarkets actually. Mom ended up spending nearly an hour there. It was already so late at night HAHA. Kinda tired and my mom finally saw the mini air purifier she thought suited the best. It’s mini but it’s not cheap. But since we only have one for 2 rooms, we thought we should just buy it for health’s sake. You never know when the next haze isi coming… (or maybe we can lol).

After that, my mom went out again (don’t ask why). I finally figured how to use shutter speed so I set it low to make the water look smooth. And it looked so pretty with the lights contrasted with the dark surroundings!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It’s 9pm already so we decided to make a move for home. Carrying the air purifier and other stuff we bought, we took a long MRT ride from one end of Singapore to the other. You don’t know how tired we were…

But it’s a day well spent! We ate good food and I took great photos with the new camera!

28 Feb 2016 : My first camera

Finally decided on OLYMPUS E-M10! The salesman was so nice he gave us discounts for both the camera and the additional stuff we bought with it as well as free gifts such as the screen protector. He knew I was a beginner so he taught me how to operate the camera as well and advised which camera would be best for my case since I wanted to learn. As a shop operator selling various brands, he was unbiased and gave us a unbiased view of which camera I should buy. Each camera has its own good but we thought that I may one day want to upgrade to a better lens when I learnt enough basics. LX100 would not allow me to have the lens changed so E-M10 was the best bet!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The photos the salesman took to show us.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Quite clear sia! My mom didn’t like it because it was too clear if you get what I mean.

We headed to Causeway Point after! We looked around for intern stuff and gotr myself a pair of shoes. I got myself a pair of heels which is short enough for me to balance.

We then had Ajisen Ramen for dinner!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I ordered the same pizza rice I had back with the burdens last November. My mom tried it and to my surprise, she liked it. She didn’t like anything cheesy but she found the rice flavourful.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Dumplings!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Finally time to go home! We took a direct bus to Sengkang bus interchange! Love bus!

27 Feb 2016 : Waterway Point with Cuties

Image and video hosting by TinyPicSomeone doesn’t want to eat her food so her dad is convincing her to eat through creative storytelling ways.

I bought 2 intern blouses for 50% discount from GG<5. My mom insisted that wearing clothing of poor quality would not give a good impression during intern. She said I should get clothes from GG<5 instead. Anyway, the store is selling discounts so why not? It’s very worth the money spent, one being around $35 after discount and it can last long.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Llao Llao for the second time! This time with my family.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We all decided to go visit popo since she sprained her ankle few days back. Since her house is of a walkable distance from the mall, mom, my uncle and I decided to walk there while my cousin, her husband and her kids took their car. Adrien suddenly said he wanted to go with me. Awww~ So he also embarked on a long journey to popo’s place with me.

It’s getting darker and we haven’t reached yet. But I like this walk I didn’t want it to end. Maybe this is the adventurous part of me? WE have been walking for 25 minutes. All sweaty.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicFinally he stops! He’s the most sweatiest among the 4 of us.

Finally seeing some HDB flats!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The beautiful evening sky.

These flats are so lucky. Houses just along the water bank. Got the high class feel.

We ended up walking for a total of 35 minutes not including the time we went to the supermart near popo’s house to get drinks and newspaper. But the walk was worth it! I saw a new side of Punggol and walked some calories off!

At popo’s house, my uncle showed me some camera videos and advised me which camera i should buy. His friend’s discount is only extended til the day after so he told me to think hard and inform him soon if I wanted. But what bothered me was that the camera he recommended, the LX100 couldn’t change lens which my cousin-in-law said will be important if I really want to learn.

Thankfully, my cousin recommended me Olympus EM 10. Lens changeable and it’s not a 12MP camera. For a cheaper price too. LX100 is great for taking clear videos but I am not really the kind who take videos often. So I finally decided on EM 10! We are going to AMK to buy the camera OMG so excited! HAHA got 3 camera experts advising me.

Walking to the bus stop now! We wanted to go to Suntec Teo Heng at 1pm for their 3 hour karaoke special. But no one in our group went to book. Everyone assumed someone else would book the day before but we were all too busy studying. Vivian assumed I would book because I’m the maknae…

We went to call Suntec Teo Heng but they told us that 1 to 4pm is a little too rush given that we were still in school at 12.30pm. We cannot start later than 1.15pm for the 3 hour special but offered us 2 to 4pm but the hourly rate won’t be of the same as the 3 hour special. He told us that after 4pm cannot. Not sure he meant if there are no more slots after 4pm or that there are no 5pm – 8pm special that day. So we tried Hotel Rendesvous Teo Heng branch. Line was engaged for so long, we kinda gave up.

We decided on Just Acia on the bus! It’s been a long time since I had Just Acia which was in 2011/2012. So this would be my 2nd try. Excited for their free flow of drinks and ice cream/froyo with any main course purchased.

We first took the free flow items first while waiting for our orders to arrive. I ordered Fish and Chips! I took a cup of froyo (look at how beautifully the froyo swirled)  as well as a cup of Strawberry Freeze. The froyo was good! It wasn’t that sour and flavour is mild enough for a weak stomach.

Strawberry Freeze was very sour though. Reckon I’ll take that again.

The dumplings Vivian and I shared. Dumpling was good! I love dumplings that doesn’t have much vegetables in it. But the sauce tasted like vinegar and gave the dumplings a sour taste to it which I didn’t quite like.

Lyka’s ebi tomato pasta! Looks quite nice… Maybe I’ll get that next time I come to Just Acia.

My Fish and Chips came but there was so much french fries! The fish has lots of crispy skin but flesh was quite little. Maybe it’s just me who don’t like the crispy breaded skin. But the french fries was delicious. It might be thin but the salt made it good and it’s also soft!

After the main course, we went back to taking the desserts and drinks for the 2nd round. I this time took Hot Chocolate and another cup of froyo. I initially wanted ice cream this time but none of the flavours appealed to me except the Strawberry but I really felt like eating the plain good froyo again. HAHAH this Lyka told me that the froyo wouldn’t be so plain if I added chocolate/cocoa powder on it. I was like “HAHAHA got such thing there?” Lyka pointed out a container where the soya sauce, salt and pepper was also placed in. So i tried some, trusting Lyka after she said Rachel told her it was Cocoa powder and had already put some in her drink. Thankfully I put only a bit on the side of my froyo. The colour was oddly greyish-purple. Then I kinda guessed it was the powder that people put on their fruits. HAHAH thanks Rachel… But it was so funny the whole incident!

Guess what? We tried calling Teo Heng again and it was engaged when I called but the moment someone else called in went through. HAHAH very funny I tried so many times to call through to no avail but someone else call immediately went through… sigh… HAHAHA at least we finally booked ourselves a room at 5pm just nearby at Rendezvous Hotel.

After that we went to Plaza Singapura to shop for intern clothing. When Devi went to withdrew money at the bank, we waited outside after coming out of the washroom. Can’t believe we saw Zhang Yaodong in the bank queuing up. This Nicole aiyo can’t be more discreet in her spying…

So pretty… the lighting~

We then went to Uniqlo to shop for intern clothing. We also went to Innisfree to look around. I wanted to buy the nail polish but saving money is my top priority right now… to get my camera.

After karaoke (finally with Devi!), we decided to go to SOTA to have dinner at this Korean restaurant. We initially went for bingsoo but most of us decided to eat other food there such as ramen.

The yogurt bingsoo Zenia and I shared arrived! Delicious! Their bingsoo is made with the kind of ice that is served in Taiwanese snow ice. Flakey.

That ended a long day of celebration!
