17 Dec 2015 : Common Tests are Over

After days of mugging, we’re finally done with common tests!

With that burden off our backs, we gave ourselves a little reward – An Orchard Road getaway for the rest of the day!

We got off the bus right here after a long bus ride standing.

We crossed over to 313@Somerset to have our bingsoo!

image

image

313@Somerset had lots of cafe/bars near the side entrance. Liking the zen feel!

image

We shopped at Forever21 and I spotted this white collared cropped blouse but it’s still quite long for me despite it being a cropped top. I think I’m having a liking for plain, white long sleeved cropped top/blouse these days. I saw a cheap one on Zalora but I’m kinda afraid of buying clothing online because it might not be suitable for me and I can’t try before ordering… So I’ll keep my eyes open for such tops!

After Forever21, we made our way to the bingsoo store. We waited quite a while before getting a seat in the packed cafe.

Spot the couples! The store is playing kpop songs such as TWICE’s I must be Crazy and iKon’s Rhytmn Ta and Apology I think?

Our Bingsoo arrived! Mix of 3 flavours:

*Chocolate Oreo Banana
*Green tea with red beans
*And lastly a korean version of something similar to our muah chee

My favourite was the chocolate Oreo Banana because of the Oreo crunch within the shaved ice. 😊 And it’s quite cheap if we order the $23 bowl to be shared by 7!

We went to The Editor’s Market one floor down. I never herd of it but the price system in the shop is quite unique. All items are priced equally at $35. 3 items bought and each will be at $30. 6 items at $25 each. It is still nonetheless expensive. Great if friends can share the 6 items discount with you. Because no way am I spending on 6 items… Not sure about the quality but I spotted another item I liked. A grey cropped sweater with a blouse underneath it. The item Nicole liked as well. Spending $35 on that still didn’t feel right… I’ll look elsewhere for such designs… 😟

Snowman spotted and a crazy woman spotted at Orchard Gateway.

We saw The Editor’s Market at Orchard Gateway as well. They were having a move out sale right now where they are selling every item at $15. A pity the sweater piece wasn’t there… I saw, however, a white long sleeved cropped top that I wanted but was, however, too short. Nicole tried this white dress which suited her so well but she say her tummy can see. πŸ˜’ Rach, Devi and Zenia also tried clothes. Zenia tried the white cropped top I wanted but it was too short for her too as well.

We ended up not buying anything from there. We decided to go Scape to look for cheaper buys.

Zenia, Rachel and I finally bought a skirt each at Scape. I’ve always liked the origami skorts but I couldn’t find it anywhere or otherwise, it’s expensive. I bought size M though since that was the largest. However, there’s no fitting room and hence, I couldn’t try it until I buy it. I’ll just think of it as a motivation to lose weight to fit into that! $13 spent!

Lyka left for mass at church… Awww goodbye LykaaaaπŸ˜•

We went back to Orchard Gateway to have dinner at Saizeriya. We spent a way longer time waiting for seats here than at the bingsoo store earlier. Especially when we had to wait for a table of 6.

At long last, we got our table and immediately ordered since we already had our orders in mind.

Vivian and Rachel’s escargots… πŸ˜–

I ordered seafood chowder (portion was painfully small), rice and potato omelette with bacon and corn. $9.30 altogether but I was stuffed.

Nicole had to go at 8.30pm since she have curfew. κ°€μ§€λ§ˆπŸ˜£πŸ˜£πŸ˜£

We walked towards Orchard MRT but that walking turned into an extra 2 hour shopping session. πŸ˜‚

We walked along the streets admiring the lights and christmas decorations.

We stopped by Ferrero Rocher shop just to take a look. It looks so European and classy.

We headed to ION where we saw the prettiest Christmas lights ever.

Stars shine brightest in the darkest sky and colours are most vibrant in the deepest black.

We went into the Christmas tree. Here’s how it looks like in it…

The chandelier as I call it rotates so beautifully.

Hey!!!

We went into ION and we’re mesmerised by the grand branded shops we knew we were not at the level at.

Too high class for us…

At 9.20pm, we went to H&M in ION. All of us went to try clothes but only Vivian, Rachel and me bought.
image

I was contemplating a red checkered cropped blouse and this green beanie. I had to be practical and chose the checkered blouse since its not everyday I find a shorter checkered blouse and I can always find a cheaper beanie elsewhere.

We left for home at 10.30pm which is the latest I ever went home from outings with friends. My mom knew I just finished my exams so she forgave me😊

The items I bought today! $37.90 altogether. Not inclusive of bingsoo and dinner. Oh well… since I hardly spend much daily… Need to start saving money!

It’s been a long day and I’m tired but yayyy we’re going out again tomorrow. Rachel, Nicole and Vivian won’t be going for sure though… 😣

Hope tomorrow will be a good day!πŸ‘
